Welcome to Alaska Communications Center!
Alaska Communications Center is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to providing training for youth in Alaska on the following topics in order to develop job skills, an understanding of the value of broadcasting and how to market businesses:
- Computer training and using web based media tools
- Videography and television production
- Media literacy and history of the development of the broadcast spectrum
- How TV and internet broadcasting is used for education, entertainment and advertising
KACN-TVKACN-TV provides an interactive, online communications curriculum and on-site training to groups in an effort to develop the skills of participants to become "Citizen Video Journalists" and media activists. Through media production, partnering with KACN-TV and internet webcasts, Alaska Communications Center provides a "voice" for young Alaskans and addresses the polarization and disparity experienced by many.
